Are there exceptions?

  • Saver fare travelers cannot get same day confirmed changes.

  • For travelers traveling on group reservations the same day confirmed changes can be made through the Group reservations desk. You cannot make them online, through kiosks, or with an airport agent.
  • For Alaska Airlines change flight group reservation you can reach at 1-800-445-4435 Or 1(844) 769-1366. You can contact the airline from Monday - Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm PT and on Saturday from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm PT.
  • If the booking is on nonstop shuttle flights between Seattle and Portland, Seattle and Spokane and Anchorage and Fairbanks, you can request free same day standby.
  • Passengers with refundable first class tickets or refundable coach tickets can request flight changes at any time and for no change fee on Alaska Airlines by visiting online through the website or calling Alaska Airlines reservations. If you don’t get a confirmed seat on the desired flight, you can request a same day standby. This goes for class J or Y.

Are you eligible for online cancellation or a ticket credit or refund?

To cancel the ticket online and get refund or credit as future travel, your purchased reservation should:

  • Have been booked at, call center of Alaska Airlines reservation or a ticket counter of Alaska.
  • Not have a Saver fare beyond the first 24 hours once the booking is made.
  • Not have a government fare.
  • Not be ahead of one year from the date of original issuance, or for some portion of the used tickets, not be ahead of one year from the original outbound travel date.
  • Not be part of a group travel or vacation package.
  • Not have an unaccompanied minor booked on any other airline except Alaska.
  • Have been booked using US dollars in the form of currency.

Refundable tickets that match with the above criteria can be refunded to the original source of payment. 

Fully unused nonrefundable reservations which include Saver Fares canceled within 24 hours of the initial buying can be refunded to the original source of payment, as long as travel begins more than 24 hours after the booking. Once 24 hours are completed, nonrefundable tickets can be issued a credit certificate or deposit into My wallet. Change fee on Alaska Airlines will be charged at the time the credit deposit or certificate is issued.
